It is tough to rate the 2010 NFL Draft picks made by Colts, as they may have had their own reasons for it. Going for Jerry Hughes and ignoring Rodger Saffold at #31 gave an indication that they were looking for a fast and large defensive end for their side. However, Saffold could have been the answer to their needs of a defensive tackle.

Linebacker, Pat Angerer, and Cornerback, Kevin Thomas, did suggest that they had a plan, which they did not wish to change. Again, Brody Eldridge at #162 is the tight end, will be the goal-line player that the franchise has been looking for. Other picks for the Colts included Ricardo Matthews (defensive tackle), Kevin Conner (linebacker), Ray Fisher (cornerback) and Jacques McClendon (guard).

You cannot say that their pick was disappointing throughout, but the absence of a defensive tackle in their 2010 NFL Draft Picks may make life difficult in the season for Colts.
